This piece was a response to a research pillar brief that asked us to pick a random object and really think about why we chose it, why is it of importance etc. We were asked to write 100 questions about our item and then create an outcome in a week in response to one of these questions. The object I had chosen was a small framed Luke Kelly stamp from An Post. The question I had chosen was 'Is this stamp an object of patriarchal significance? What is Luke Kelly’s cultural importance to Ireland?'. In response to this, I created a miniature stamp book that acts as an actual postage stamp, but extends to tell the receiver the story of the icon on the stamp.
